Beads, beads and more beads!

Hello Folks,

Sorry, I've not blogged in a while! I could name a million excuses but I wont bore you ;)

Mr FVD rolls his eyes everytime I get a package through the Door, "More beads?" he says, but we both know this is a rhetorical question, Ofcourse its more beads, I cant get enough of them!

I love shopping online, there is something quite satisfying about sitting with your laptop in your Pj's and having a world of beads at your finger tips, whilst you drink your cuppa. Every now and again though I think it is important to go to a bead shop or fair and handle the beads, talk to the Sellers, discuss the bead origins and how they are made.

Recently I had the pleasure of going to the Flame off/bead fair at Silverstone Racecourse in Northampton.

Whilst there I was fortunate enough to meet the lovely Caroline of BlueBerribeads and
purchase some of her pretties. here is a little Shot of my loot from the fair ~

the Lovely urchins, birds and Angel Wing were from Caroline and here is what I made using a few of them..
I turned Carolines Wing into a hook clasp and made this necklace, Im quite proud of it if I dont say so myself ;)

I used a little mint green bird and a cream urchin bead in this bracelet, 'Natures way' Available in my Etsy shop now ~ just click here

I was also fortunate enough to meet Julie Fountain of Lush lampwork beads, this is what I made using her beautiful beads :D
'Tranquility' earrings made with Julies beads, Im lucky enough to have now found the forever home for these beauties.
I also made this macrame bracelet using suede cord, pearls and a purple polka dot bead from Julie.
This pretty purple bracelet has also now found its forever home.

I really cant stress enough how worthwhile it is to go to a bead fair and get up close and personal with the beads.

Why not google beads Shops/fairs near you and go along and check the out? you never know what you might find!

I was lucky to go to a bead shop myself yesterday, Clare's beautiful beads in Belper. Here is a link to her facebook page ~ link

To end my blog post today I will leave you with some Eye Candy, no not Mr. Pitt, bead eye candy, (I got permission from the lovely Clare of Clares beautiful beads to take these pictures)

I spy with my beady eye...

Red and yellow and pink and blue...

Beads, glorious beads!

and here is my loot from Clares I could have spent alot more but Mr FVD didnt give me enough pocket money ;)

Until Next time, stay safe folks,

Mrs. Floaty x
